The Wrenna Boy
I drew the cover of this album. I hadn't done any drawing for a few years (since completing my Ba at Wolves Uni in my late 40’s) I think it looks pretty good. Duncan Edwards. What can we say about him. Leaving school to play professionally, he had always been a massive influence. I had written a song initially but felt it didn't tell all the story and also I'm not all that keen on long songs that can struggle to keep the listeners attention. The beauty of working solo and without any instruments is you have complete control over how a piece develops. I kept the refrain and a bit from one of the songs and turned it into a story which is well received regardless of where I perform it.
